Whitewood is proud to be home to quality education, including a Kindergarten through Grade Twelve School and the Southeast Regional College.
Whitewood School
The Whitewood School is one of the 18 schools in the newly formed Aspen Grove School Division. The Whitewood School is home to 253 students from Kindergarten (K) to Grade Twelve (12). It employs nineteen (19) teachers and twelve (12) support staff.
Programs offered through the school include special needs therapy program; essential English and Math for Grades Seven (7) to Twelve (12); a First Nation Bridging Program; Work Experience Education for Grades Ten (10) to Twelve (12); Resource Programming Support for Modified and Alternative Education Programs.
For the 2005-2006 School Year the Whitewood School will be piloting a "Four-Day Week", this means that school will run four days a week from Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 3:30 pm. Fridays will be reserved for Professional Development, meetings, teacher planning, sports events, etc.. There will be 163 days of Classroom Instruction, 21 days for other teacher-only activities and 2 days allocated for "storm days" each year.

Southeast Regional College
Since 1975, the Southeast Regional College has been meeting the needs of people and communities throughout the Campus, providing the opportunity to access a variety of training and post-secondary education programs. The Campus facilities are located in the northwest wing of the Whitewood High School. During 2002-03, the Trans Canada (Whitewood area) Campus ran 126 programs with 128 full-time students and 770 part-time students.

Whitewood Ambulance
The Whitewood Community Health Centre is home to the Whitewood Ambulance Service. For Emergency Ambulance Service call 9-1-1.
Whitewood Fire Department
The Whitewood Fire Department is a volunteer brigade which serves Whitewood and surrounding area. For Emergency Fire Service call 9-1-1.
Broadview Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
The Broadview RCMP detachment serves Whitewood and surrounding area. For Emergency Police Service call 9-1-1.
Whitewood is also home to Crime Stoppers, Citizens on Patrol (COPP) and is a Block Parent Community.
Whitewood Health Centre
The Whitewood Community Health Centre is integrated with long term care and provides outpatient services, ambulatory care and community health services such as public health, mental health, addictions, nutrition services, community therapy, and health promotion.

Physician Services:
Physician services are available in the community of Whitewood but are not provided on site.
Outpatient/Ambulatory Care Services:
Outpatient/Ambulatory Care provides services that are scheduled or ordered by your physician.
Laboratory and x-ray services are provided on weekdays during regular hours with an order from your physician.
Visiting professional services are available at various times each month. Contact the Health Centre to find out what services are available and when you can receive them.
Equipment and medical supplies (such as splints, crutches, cervical collars, fiberglass casts) will be provided at cost or for a rental fee.
Minor Procedures (such as removal of moles, warts and toenails) can be done by appointment only. Appointments will be booked through your physician's office.
Wellness Clinics, such as foot care and blood pressure clinics are scheduled on a regular basis.
Information and Education is provided on an individual or group basis.
